A4/6 History

  

Having undergone several major reorganizations and name changes over the years, we continue to support formal training and educational programs of the Air Force, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and throughout the Department of Defense. The existing mission integrated into an Air University Directorate—a structur designed to improve efficiency of operations and resources. The Air Force Institute for Advanced Distributed Learning and the Communications and Information division combined in 2008 to form A4/6 and in 2012 Education Operations and Communications.

The Intellectual and Leadership Center of the Air Force, the Air University is an accredited military
education system that produces the future by developing leaders and warfighters today…for tomorrow.
