CLOSING procedures begin 20 minutes BEFORE closing time.

  • CLOSED Tuesday, 11 November for Veterans Day
  • CLOSED Thursday, 27 November for Thanksgiving Day
  • CLOSED Thursday, 25 December for Christmas Day


  • The main library doors are open 0730-2100 Monday-Thursday and 0730-1700 on Fridays.
  • As of 1 March 2014 we will resume our Saturday hours of 1100-1700.
  • Most of the Bibliographers are now located in Room 112, just past the stairs and elevator.
  • The Periodicals Librarians have moved to Room 106E
  • The Interlibrary Loan Office is in the Annex near the lounge area (Room A109).


  • We are expecting delivery and installation of new furniture throughout the public areas of the Fairchild Library in January. Our furniture "refresh" will include numerous seating options and private study carrels.


  • Our MSFRIC Catalog, AULIMP, and other internal search features are currently limited to the military network connections because of security restrictions for now. We hope to have these search features restored soon to the general public when the block has been lifted.

STUDY/Collaboration Rooms

  • Individual study and/or small group collaboration Rooms 106A-D and A221-A222, A225-A226 are available on a "first come-first served" basis.
  • Group Study Room A223 can be reserved at the main Reference Desk for up to two hours.

MSFRIC Auditorium

  • The Auditorium (Room 170) seats up to 90 people and can be reserved by calling 953-2800.
  • AV projection equipment is available in the Auditorium.

  • We have two scanners connected to the wireless computer workstations for patrons to use.
  • There is one NIPRNet scanner/printer/copier available with CAC card access in Copier Room 104.
