CountryWatch - profiles political, economic, corporate and environmental trends for 191 countries.  Real-time news included.  Restricted to AU students.

U.S. Department of State - includes country and regional information.

StratFor.Biz - combines intelligence analysis and news archives on various countries.  Restricted to AU students.

Armed Forces Information

Jane's Online - global defense, geopolitical, transportation and law enforcement information.  Restricted to AU students.

Periscope - open source intelligence on orders of battle and equipment inventories for 150 nations.  Also provides technical descriptions and characteristics for more than 4,500 global weapon systems.  Restricted to AU students.

Magazine and Newspaper Articles

EbscoHost - articles from over 4,800 journals, over 1000 in full-text.  Includes translation of some articles into French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German and other languages. Restricted to AU students.

Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe - Click on News. Offers World News (News from U.S. & international sources).  Restricted to AU students.
