“Fit to Fight” is the Air War College Commandant’s mandatory fitness program. All AWC students are expected to participate unless written medical restrictions are presented. Civilian students are highly encouraged to consult their medical provider PRIOR TO arrival at AWC if they are not accustomed to regular, vigorous exercise.
Students will be expected to perform a minimum of 20 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise 3 times each week, and a minimum of 2 resistance training (weight lifting) sessions each week. Students will be responsible for electronically tracking their exercise sessions.
All students will have the opportunity to complete the Air Force Fitness Test comprised of waist measurement, timed 1 ˝ mile run, and 1 minute sit-up and push-up assessments.
