Air University's
professional military education schools prepare junior,
midcareer, and senior noncommissioned and commissioned
officers and selected civilians for progressively more
responsible positions throughout the Air Force and
Department of Defense. All colleges, schools, and programs
operate within the framework of the Air Force continuum of
education, a coordinated and integrated educational system
that links curricula across Air University so that each
college, school, and program builds on the education
provided at the previous level. This continuum includes five
core areas: the profession of arms, military studies,
international security studies, communication studies, and
leadership and management studies.
