What is your negotiation style? The AFNC has developed a self-assessment tool for determining your negotiation style. This tool is a way to look at your style as reflected by the Negotiation Preferences and Style Chart (NPSC). The students should take the test using the traditional "first impression" model. Print out the self-assessment master handout. Read the assessment statements as written and react to the statement. If the student's initial reaction is that the statement reflects the students thinking or personality, than the student should mark the gray box at the end of the spread sheet. Students will then add up each column of marked gray box totals. The highest total will reflect the students favored negotiation style as highlighted on the l self-assessment master.
