Colonel John Carney
Colonel John T. Carney’s distinguished Air Force career spanned 27 plus years. He is affectionately known as the “Father of Special Tactics” and was involved in every mission involving Special Operations Forces from the mid 1970’s to 1991. Some of the missions include but are not limited to; URGENT FURY- Granada, JUST CAUSE - Panama, DESERT SHIELD – Iraq, and most notably his contributions in EAGLE CLAW, the Iran hostage rescue attempt of 67 Americans in 1980.
