George E. “Bud” Day
Colonel (retired) George E. “Bud” Day is America’s most highly decorated warrior since General Douglas MacArthur. During a 34-year military career that saw service in three wars, Colonel Day received 70 decorations, of which more than 50 are for combat, including the Congressional Medal of Honor. He survived a 67-month imprisonment, a brutal captivity that would end only upon his release on 14 March 1973. Day currently operates a law firm in Fort Walton Beach and resides with his wife, Doris Merlene Day.
