Eagle Biography

Alexander Jefferson

Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Jefferson was a P-51 pilot during WWII with the, the famed Tuskegee Airmen of the 332nd Fighter Group.  He flew 18 combat escort missions for B-17s and B-24s before being shot down while flying a low-level strafing mission against a radar station over Toulon, France on 12 August 1944.  He spent nine months as a POW.  Jefferson and his fellow Tuskegee Airmen proudly served their country fighting enemies overseas and discrimination at home.
