Eagle Biography

Deanie Parrish

Deanie Parrish belongs to an elite group of 1,074 Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). During WWII, she was an engineering test pilot in BT-13s and UC-78s to ensure repaired aircraft were safe for the male pilots to fly in training. She then flew B-26 Martin Marauders as an air-to-air tow target pilot training gunners, using live ammunition, for combat. Her courage and determination paved the way for more than 472,000 women to serve and fly in the US military today.
