While at BOT you will be required to wear the Uniform of the Day (UOD) unless you are exercising off-base privileges, in which case you will be in OTS privilege gear or civilian attire. You must be in compliance with AFI 36-2903(read prior to arriving) and the OTSMAN 36-2604 at all times.
The Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) is the only authorized utility uniform in BOT. This uniform can be purchased at Maxwell Clothing Sales. ABU boots can also be purchased at Maxwell.
Khaki pants for OTS privilege gear will be available for purchase upon reporting; however, you can bring your own pair and wear them as long as they don't have any side cargo pockets. In addition, bring a brown belt and shoes to go with your privilege gear.
You may bring cold weather thermals/undergarments to supplement the normal AF uniforms. Ideally they should be sage green or sand colored but items with PT gear can be otherwise. Consult AFI 36-2903 for specifics.
Non-prior trainees are not required to bring any uniform items to OTS and may all purchase uniform items here. If you do bring uniform items with you they must be serviceable, in good condition, not faded, fitted properly, and current. If uniforms do not meet these requirements, you cannot return them at the OTS AFFES/Military Clothes sales and you will be required to buy new items.
