Physical Fitness is an everyday part of an Air Force Officer's life and career. It is very important that you come to OTS able to perform sit-ups and push-ups according to the AF Standard. For more information on the Air Force Fitness Program and how to perform the correct sit-up and push-up, visit the AF Fitness Program's website.
It is also very important to read AFI 36-2905 (link provided below) to ensure you understand what is required out of you physically while here at OTS. Specifically look at Ch 6.1 which covers the standards for new accessions cadets within 42 days of arrival for training. Know that these standards are different from the standards you will be held to when you receive your commission at the end of the program.
***The following tables below show the minimum standards for both male and female one must pass for each component of the Air Force Physical Fitness Test; in addition, you must pass the test with an overall average of 75%. Use the link to the AF Fitness Program's website to access a calculator for further information on scores***
***Cadets will also be required to pass these standards while at Officer Training School!***

Testimonies from Cadets
“Be in shape on Day One. If you are not, you are already behind. You should also come with a will to succeed. Being physically and mentally fit will help you start OTS off on the right foot.” -- Cadet Uresti, Jr., Class 13-03, Flight 1-10
