Welcome and congratulations on your selection to attend Air University (AU), your time here will be both challenging and rewarding. Before you depart your country for Maxwell AFB, the International Officer School (IOS) website will provide you with valuable information to better prepare you and your family for your Professional Military Education (PME) courses and help get you acquainted with the local Maxwell AFB and civilian communities. On the left, you will notice links to all International Officer and Non-commissioned Officer courses available at AU.

You will be provided an Electronic-Welcome Package when you click the link for your course. You should already have received this package of information from the Security Cooperation Office located in the United States Embassy. The Electronic Welcome Package provides helpful information on what to expect so you and your family can make educated decisions before coming to America. Please read it thoroughly, because it will certainly help you with your transition.

You will also find various information papers on different programs we have in place to support you and your family, to include critical information about the local area, housing, schools, etc. We have also made some forms and paperwork available to you, so you can fill it out well before your travels and e-mail back to IOS so you can get an early start on your in-processing and orientation.
