The Maxwell Housing Office serves both Maxwell AFB, and Gunter Annex. When you arrive at Maxwell-Gunter, please visit our office located at 310 W Selfridge Street Bldg 1036 (located in the same building as Marketing and Publicity) as required by your PCS orders. The Housing Office team is dedicated to provide our military families with the highest professional service, accessibility and personal assistance in order to make your transition as smooth as possible. Our office will provide you with the latest information available on apartments, individual homes for rent and sales listings. We are happy to answer any questions related to off-base housing or refer you to Pinnacle the privatized housing company should you elect to apply for the Privatized Housing located on Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex. DD form 1746 Application for Housing – In order to be referred to Pinnacle-Hunt for on-base housing, you will need to please fill our DD form 1746. Please write in the Remarks (Section 21) "Please refer to Pinnacle" initial, and date. You can then fax the DD form 1746 along with a copy of your order to 334-953-5070 or DSN 493-5070 or mail to the Maxwell Housing Office

Services Maxwell/Gunter Housing Office Provides
- Assistance with DD form 1746 for a referral to Pinnacle for members assigned to Maxwell/Gunter and surrounding areas
- Assistance with DD form 1746 advanced application to gaining installation – when PCSing to another base
- Discuss all housing options with member
- One on One counseling with member on the things to consider when searching for a home
- Assistance in searching for off base rental homes or apartments and for sale properties by using the DoD sponsored website www.AHRN.com as well as other rental/sale websites
- Create user accounts for AHRN giving you immediate access if you have not already registered.
- Review of lease prior to member signing to ensure proper verbiage and that the member understands the legal agreement he/she is signing

- Ensure members are aware of excluded census tracts in the local communities and undesirable neighborhoods – based on crime rates, neighborhood and housing conditions, or lack of housing due to industry
- Maintain a list of locations for weigh stations in the local area for DITY moves
- Cut TMO orders for local off base to privatized housing DITY or Carrier moves and non-temp storage – once privatized housing has been assigned and Pinnacle has provided the member with the required form. (storage of furniture items only – list must accompany request for orders from Pinnacle)
- Investigate and mediate community housing disputes made by a member
- Assist members who report suspected discrimination during housing search
- Assist members in finding contact information for their gaining installations when PCSing
- Provide resources to members who either want to buy or sell a home by owner
