FAMCAMP Spaces & Mobile Home Spaces (updated)

The FAMCAMP on Maxwell AFB provides spaces for temporary parking of motor homes and travel trailers. The Camp has 20, 30, & 50 AMP Full hook-ups (Water & Sewage) with rates being: $20 Daily, $120 Weekly, and $400 Monthly. The Overflow area has 20, 30 & 50 AMP hook-ups (water only) with rates being: $15 Daily and $80 Weekly. Tent Camping is $5 per night with a 7 night limit.

This office is located in Bldg 1161, and can be reached at (334) 953-5161 (DSN 493).

Hours of operation are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. On holidays and weekends envelopes are provided at the door for self-registration. Only PME students with faxed orders can make reservations.

Extensions must be approved by the Outdoor Recreation Supervisor. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis through the FAMCAMP. This office is located in Bldg. 1161, phone number (334) 953-5161 (DSN 493), hours 0900-1730 Monday-Friday. On holidays and weekends envelopes are provided at the door for self-registration. Only PME students, with faxed orders, can make reservation in advance for the duration of their school. There are no mobile home parks on Maxwell AFB or Gunter Annex. There are several in the local area.

Care For Kids

20 hours of care per child is paid by the Air Force Aid Society to families in PCS status only

Certificates are issued by Relocation Assistance Program at the Airman and Family Readiness Center, building 677, 55 South Mitchell Street, to active duty member or spouse on PCS orders either arriving to Maxwell or departing Maxwell. Certificates can only be used at the base where issued. Please bring one copy of your orders. (334) 953-9694

Certificates are good for child care within 60 days of PCS arrival date. If arriving to Maxwell, you have 60 days following your report date to use your free child care. If departing, you have 60 days prior to your departure date to use your free child care. Contact the Family Child Care Coordinator for a list of licensed providers. (334) 935-6071 or 953-2585

Veterinary Clinic

The Maxwell Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to providing quality services to the active duty and retired personnel of the community. Your pet will be required to have an annual rabies test. If your pet has a current rabies done within the last year, bring the pet's records and the clinic will replace the rabies certificate and issue a new tag. This clinic is only available for minor tests and shots. No blood work is done at this clinic, with the exception of the hear worm test. A full-line of over-the-counter medicines and shampoos are available. The base vet clinic is located at 151 South Arnold Street on Maxwell. (334) 953-7357 or DSN 493-7357. Kennels/Boarding

Pets are not allowed in billeting. There are many kennels located in the Montgomery community. Below is a listing of just some kennels in the area.

Horse Stables

River Road Riding Club is located between the two golf courses at Maxwell. The club offers stabling for members who own or lease horses. The 26-stall stable has a tack room, a sick stall and a feed storage area. There are also seven half-acre pastures, a lunge ring and a riding arena with a dressage area for members' use.
